Description

The Blocking Solution by CANDOR Bioscience is a high-performance blocker that saturates free binding sites on plastic surfaces or other protein binding surfaces and minimizes nonspecific binding to surfaces. 

This blocker is based on highly purified casein that has been chemically modified for maximum adsorption efficiency and a dense blocking layer. By incubating a surface with The Blocking Solution, such as a microtiter plate or western blotting membrane, free spaces on the surface are saturated by the components of this blocker. This minimizes unwanted binding of the analyte or the detection antibody to the surface, avoiding background and improving sensitivity of the assay.

The Blocking Solution's excellent surface blocking activity makes it well suited for assays that require high reproducibility and low coefficients of variation, such as assays for pre-clinical and clinical studies, production of high quality diagnostics or measurement of precious specimens. Additionally, a special production process ensures strong lot-to-lot consistency superior to home-brew manufacturing.
