Chondroitin and Dermatan Sulphates
Chondroitin and Dermatan Sulphate Polymers
A series of highly purified chondroitin sulphate and dermatan sulphate polymers that include the principal isomers found in mammalian tissues. The disaccharide compostion of our CS and DS polymers is shown below:

These polysaccharides play essential structural and developmental roles in the ECM. Their specific molecular characteristics are often determined by sequences containing one or more rare disulphated disaccharide below:
D unit (GlcA,2S 1-3 GalNAc,6S) and E unit (GlcA 1-3 GalNAc,4S,6S).
The polymers can be used to address how different levels and patterns of sulphation dictate the cellular and biochemical properties of the CS/DS family of GAGs

Chrondroitin Sulphate AC Oligosaccharides
Highly purified CS-A Oligosaccharides from dp4 to dp20
The oligosaccharides are prepared by the partial depolymerisation of Chondroitin Sulphate A (GAG-CSA01) by Chondroitinase AC then separated andpurified by high resolution gel filtration.
General formula: *UA – (GalNAc,4S > 6S - GlcA)n=1-9 – GalNAc,4S>6S
*the uronic acid at the non-reducing end of the chain contains a C4-C5 double bond due to the endolytic action of Chondroitinase AC
Chondroitin Sulphate D Oligosaccharides
Highly purified CS-D Oligosaccharides from dp4 to dp20
The CSD Polymer (GAG-CSD01) used for preparation of the oligosaccharides contained 18% of the disulphated CSD disaccharide unit GlcA,2S – GalNAc,6S
General formula: ∆UA – (GalNAc,6S or 4S – GlcA +/- 2S)n – GalNAc,6S
Uronic acid (∆UA) at the non-reducing ends of the oligosaccharides has a C4-C5 double bond as a result of endolytic scission.
Dermatan Sulphate Oligosaccharides
High-purity DS Oligosaccharides from dp4 to dp20
Prepared by controlled, partial depolymerisation of Dermatan Sulphate (GAG-DS01) by Chondroitinase B and separated by high-resolution gel filtration.
General formula: *UA – (GalNAc,4S >4S,6S– IdoA)n=1-9 – GalNAc,4S
*the uronic acid at the non-reducing end of the chain contains a C4-C5 double bond due to the endolytic action of Chondroitinase AC
