The HT-22 cell line is the immortalized of mouse neuronal tissue cells with a temperature-sensitive SV40 

T-antigen, subclone derived from HT4 cells. The HT-22 cell line is highly sensitive to glutamate. Therefore, 

it is often used as a research model for glutamate-induced neurotoxicity.
