APPLICATIONS

Citric Acid (C6H8O7 / CAS: 77-92-9) applications include: ingredient in food, acidifier, pH adjustment, dispersing agent, sequestering agent, chelating agent, detergent manufacturing, electroplating, leather tanning, environmental remediation, cleaning and polishing stainless steel and other metals, cleaning of industrial sites, alkyd resins, preparation of citrates, mordant, removal of sulfur dioxide from smelter waste gases. It is used to remove mineral deposits, yellowing/browning discolorations, coffee/tea stains, and urine stains.
