Background

Factor XII, also known as Hageman factor, is an activator of both coagulation and the kinin system. 

During contact activation, factor XII (Mr 80,000) is proteolytically cleaved at several sites, creating activated factor XIIa. 

Factor XIIa cleaves prekallikrein to kallikrein and factor XI to factor XIa. GMA-140 binds FXII and FXIIa in ELISA and Western blot.

배경 제12인자(Factor XII), 또는 헤그먼 인자(Hageman factor)로도 알려져 있으며, 응고 시스템과 키닌 시스템의 활성화제입니다. 

접촉 활성화 동안, 제12인자(Mr 80,000)는 여러 위치에서 단백질 가수분해에 의해 절단되어 활성화된 제12인자a(Factor XIIa)가 생성됩니다. 

제12인자a(Factor XIIa)는 프레칼리크레인을 칼리크레인으로, 제11인자를 제11인자a로 절단합니다. 

GMA-140은 ELISA 및 웨스턴 블롯에서 FXII 및 FXIIa에 결합합니다.
